At this point, it’s safe to say that Hollywood actor Armie Hammer has been all but canceled for his controversial DM’s in which he revealed his cannibalistic sexual fantasies. There’s a new report that says Josh Duhamel is in talks to replace the actor in the upcoming romantic comedy, ‘Shotgun Wedding,’ with Jennifer Lopez. Here’s what you need to know.
According to the Hollywood Reporter, Josh’s potential casting comes a week after Armie left the role for personal reasons. Armie started trending on Twitter after a series of screenshots showing graphic messages he’d allegedly penned to a woman were leaked by the anonymous, now-private Instagram account, House of Effie.

The messages, said to be sent between 2016 and February 2020, include conversations about BDSM, in addition to numerous sexual references to cannibalistic acts and blood-sucking.
Armie, of course, denied the validity of the texts. He released a statement that said, “I’m not responding to these bullsh*t claims but in light of the vicious and spurious online attacks against me, I cannot in good conscience now leave my children for 4 months to shoot a film in the Dominican Republic. Lionsgate is supporting me in this, and I’m grateful to them for that.”
Meanwhile, the film tells a story about a couple who bring their families together for a destination wedding as they get cold feet. Then, the entire wedding party is taken hostage. Should Josh Duhamel take the role, filming will begin sometime in September. So far Armie Hammer himself has not made any additional comments about the matter.
