‘Days of our Lives’ (DOOL) spoilers have found that fans missing their legacy characters- Hope and Sami can rejoice. Their favorite girls are back. In a matter of speaking.
Last week Kristian Alfonso shared a picture on her Instagram of herself lunching with Alison Sweeney and her make-up artist.
The DOOL co-stars have been paired up again, this time starring together in a Hallmark channel Chronicles Mysteries movie. The two filmed in Vancouver, Canada in October and have shared photos from the set on their respective social media pages.
We will get to see Kristian and Alison together again on our screens in February. But that’s all we know.
Maybe the pair are trying to keep the mystery alive, but neither of the Days favorites have shared the name of the film. We do know the Chronicle Mysteries is just one in a series of Hallmark mystery movies, playing alongside the Aurora Teagarden Mysteries (starring Candace Cameron Bure) Martha’s Vineyard Mysteries (staring Jesse Metcalf) Crossword Mysteries (starring Lacey Chabert) and Morning Show Mysteries (starring Holly Robinson Peete.) Alison previously starred in the Murder She Baked series, also.
In the Chronicles Mysteries series Alison plays Alex, a newspaper (The Chronicle) editor who investigates and solves cold murder cases on the side for her podcast. We know from Kristian’s social media that she will play a sheriff. A character with a job in law enforcement? Must be a stretch after playing a cop on Days for decades.
Checking Kristian’s IMDb page is no help, there is zero mention of the Hallmark film. A mystery indeed.
What we can see in Kristian’s IMDb, and in a new announcement on her Instagram, is her role in the newest upcoming adaptation of a V.C. Andrews series- Ruby. Set in the swamps of Louisiana and the affluent New Orleans Garden District.
Kristian plays Gladys, a wealthy, overbearing mother who doesn’t appear until movie number 3. Never fear, all four ‘Ruby’ movies are playing over two weekends, 20 and 21 and (Kristian’s debut) 27 and 28 March at 8pm ET on Lifetime.
All this work looks like Kristian is sticking to her word of not returning to the soap she called home for 37 years. Do you think Hope’s storylines are done or she will be recast like Melissa Reeve’s legacy role of Jennifer was with Cady McClain? I’m not sure the die-hard fans could get used to a new Hope Brady- but whatever the decision, let’s not bring Princess Gina back. Ever!
