‘The Young and the Restless’ (Y&R) spoilers say that Amanda Sinclair (Mishael Morgan) has finally found her mother Naya but unfortunately doesn’t want anything to do with her.
Naya came from a wealthy family but while in college took a sabbatical. Her cousin Rose then suddenly and without explanation had Hilary and Amanda but gave up Amanda to the foster care system. Here’s what you need to know.
‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers: Amanda Finds Her Mother
Speaking to Soap Opera Digest in a new interview, actress Mishael Morgan, who plays Amanda Sinclair on the hit CBS soap, admits that there are a lot of mixed emotions for her character.
She said, “She’s been wondering and fantasizing for a long time about what her mother looks like. Seeing this picture does cause a level of excitement and joy, but that’s also mixed with fear and anger. Amanda is looking at the woman who chose to abandon her, so she’s feeling frustration and pain.”
‘Young and the Restless’ spoilers say that Amanda will then inform Devon Hamilton (Bryton James) that despite all of her curiosity, she decides not to seek out her mother.
At least, not for now. Mishael continued, “Amanda got to a point in her life where she could let this go, which allowed her to become a success and the woman she wanted to be. She didn’t need the support of a mother, or a father, so she doesn’t want to go back to that young, childlike self who needed a mom to come save her. She wants to remain strong and independent.”
