British Royal Family News says that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are being slammed for making Remembrance Day into a cheap publicity stunt in their favor, as they used a fashion photographer who once worked with Kanye West to take photos of them while they were walking around a cemetery. Needless to say, no one seems to be impressed at all with this latest move of theirs. Here’s what you need to know.
According to the Daily Mail, Harry and Meghan were pictures at Los Angeles National cemetery for Remembrance Sunday. The Duke left a wreath and a message that said, “To all of those who have served, and are serving.
Thank you.” And while the gesture was considered very noble, a lot of people say that the entire ordeal looked very embarrassing. In previous years Harry had marked the day with visits to Cenotaph. This comes after sources say that Harry was “deeply saddened” when his request to have a wreath laid on his behalf at London’s Cenotaph was refused by Buckingham Palace.

Of course, many of Meghan and Harry’s critics and detractors certainly had a lot of things to say about the matter. Some comments on social media have included, “This is an object lesson in turning an act of remembrance for the fallen into a cheap PR stunt. No respect at all. It’s disgusting, he has no shame,” along with, “A photoshoot opportunity in a cemetery? This really leaves an unpleasant taste. Their PR team have finally plunged them to the bottom.”
Another critic put it this way, “It would seem that while being a senior Royal amongst the other things Harry didn’t know was the fact his position was not about himself. It was and is about serving others. My understanding individuals do not lay wreaths at the Cenopath on Remembrance Sunday as the wreaths represent branches of the services or groups. Charles laid a wreath for the Queen and himself as her successor. So Harry is equal to the Queen? Does Harry not know this or care? They need to come to terms with what it means to step back. You don’t get to keep the penthouse office when you resign from the firm. They can dust up some pity with these behaviors but it is so demeaning to everyone.”
