Hulu’s ‘The Hardy Boys’ is coming next month and brings the brothers Frank and Joe to the screen as they arrive in Bridgeport and set out to uncover the truth behind a tragedy that has changed their lives. The show is based off characters from the popular book series and looks to bring the boys to live-action in a successful adaptation.
There’s always been a lot of issues when trying to adapt a novel/s into a film and often times people are left disappointed. Nearly as much as video game fans when they watch an adaptation of their favorite game. It’s tough, so hopefully Hulu has a trick up their sleeve.
Take a look at the official trailer below that was uploaded with the follwoing description,
“Every town has its secrets. When the Hardy boys, Frank (16) and Joe (12), arrive in Bridgeport, they set out to uncover the truth behind the recent tragedy that has changed their lives, and in doing so, uncover something much more sinister.”
Hulu’s ‘The Hardy Boys’ Official Trailer – Frank & Joe Hardy Are Back!
Viewers commented on the trailer, and some have some hope for the show, “I knew this show was coming, I had a clue”, “After Nancy Drew was a massive hit for The CW it makes sense for Hulu to do The Hardy Boys! This looks like a fun mystery for the holidays!”, “I’m surprised they didn’t Riverdale this.”, and “Aw I’m a little disappointed that Joe is younger than his book counterpart however I love seeing younger/more age-appropriate actors on screen. I’m looking forward to watching this”.
I’ll probably still watch it, for the sake of having read nearly every adventure when I was a kid, but I’m not sure how I feel about the trailer, seemed very bland to me.
Hulu’s ‘The Hardy Boys’ premieres on December 4th!
