It’s a reunion for the ages. ‘Home Improvement’ co-stars Tim Allen and Richard Karn will be returning to the small screen together in a new series called ‘Assembly Required’. While it’s not a continuation or reboot telling the story of their former sitcom characters, they do bare a resemblance while they talk about tools and building things.
The two of them will be hosting a new competition series that will see builders from across the country working to fix and upgrade a myriad of household items. Karn took to Twitter to share a picture of him and Allen on the first day of shooting.
“First day of shooting… this show is going to be amazing!!“

Tim Allen And Richard Karn Coming To History Channel With ‘Assembly Required’
The series will not only focus on the competition but will explore the history of the items being built by the competitors. The series is going to air on the History Channel and has a lot of us holding our breath hoping this will turn out as great as we think it can.
This duo is legendary and was a big part of the ’90s being awesome. We can’t wait to see them together again and hopefully this time, Karn will have a leg up over the ‘Tool Man’.
Assembly Required is set to premiere at some point in 2021 and will consist of ten episodes.
