Netflix’s ‘Barbarians’ releases this month and it’s official trailer just released today giving us all goosebumps! The series will follow rival Germanic tribes as they must set aside their differences and work together to defeat the Roman Army and protect their homeland.

The series looks to be very brutal, similar to series like ‘Spartacus’ or ‘Vikings’ and will also be based on actual history, making it a two in one kind of series. Take a look at the trailer below that was uploaded with the following description,

“Rival Germanic tribes must unite to drive the imperial Roman Army from their homeland. An alliance that would forever forge their history. Barbarians only on Netflix October 23.”

I mentioned that this series will be based on true events, well, one viewer was kind enough to comment on this, saying, “Barbarians series is set during the battle of the Teutoburg forest. The series will go down well with fans of shows like Vikings and The Last Kingdom, and it follows Germanic tribes who try to stop the evolution of the Roman Empires ?⚔”.

What do you think of the trailer and are you looking forward to watching ‘Barbarians’? All too often, we have films and shows about the Romans, though, this time around we’ll get to see them in a different light! They’ve done some terrible things, and ‘Barbarians’ will have you rooting against them!

Netflix’s ‘Barbarians’ releases this month, on October 23.
