‘Black Adam’ starring The Rock has been in production limbo for years. It goes back as far as 2007 when Warner Bros. officially began speaking of it but for one reason or another, the film has never gotten off the ground. Finally, this year it looked like things were heading in the right direction with The Rock making several posts about the film and even casting calls.
However, it looks like the excitement this year is coming to an end as Warner Bros. has taken ‘Black Adam’ off its release schedule, delaying it indefinitely. This comes among a flurry of other DC film delays including ‘The Batman’, ‘Flash’, and ‘Shazam’ sequel. Of course, COVID-19 has had a huge effect on this, but why the indefinite delay?

Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson’s ‘Black Adam’ Film Delayed Indefinitely
Mostly recently, Aldis Hodge was cast as Hawkman, and The Rock even made the story public on his Instagram page detailing the call he made to Hodge. This continued to raise hopes that something would be happening with the film shortly. Even with this progress, Warner Bros. has still pulled back on the reigns.
We hope that ‘Black Adam’ will soon become a reality, as The Rock is perfect for the role and we’d love to see other acclaimed heros like Doctor Fate, Hawkman and Martian Manhunter appear. Zachary Levi’s ‘Shazam’ is begging to be in a fight with The Rock. Make it happen!
