There’s another PPV in the books following Clash of Champions last night, which means that all attention will now swiftly turn towards the next time that the WWE is on PPV. There isn’t long for fans to wait, as Hell in a Cell will take place on the 1st November, which is just over a month away.
But, there are now questions regarding the next opponent for the WWE Champion, as it looks as though the rivalry between Randy Orton and Drew McIntyre has come to an end following their Ambulance Match.
The reigning champion successfully defended the gold after interference from Shawn Michaels, Christian and The Big Show. But, where does McIntyre go now?
WWE News: Randy Orton
The WWE may look to give Randy Orton one final chance at the WWE Championship after being cost his chance through a number of interferences last night. This would be the laziest of all the options that are available to the company, but a trilogy fight would be entertaining given that there is so much bad blood between the two.
Being locked inside the cell will mean that nobody would be able to get involved, which means there is a strong chance that it will happen. However, if it does, it would be very unlikely to see Orton lose for a fourth straight PPV in a row.
WWE News: Keith Lee
One man that could be waiting in the wings for McIntyre is his good friend Keith Lee. Their matches have been interrupted over recent weeks, which means that the two could still be on a collision course to meet at the upcoming PPV.
This would certainly be a match that all fans will want to see, and it could present the perfect opportunity for Lee to win the biggest prize in the company less than one year after making his debut on the main roster. Lee is currently off television, but is set to return very soon.
WWE News: MVP
Aside from McIntyre, the next best thing about Raw recently has been the Hurt Business. This could be the perfect opportunity for McIntyre to come up against somebody from the faction, and since Bobby Lashley is holding the United States championship, the main contender would certainly be MVP.
The two will be able to tell a strong story, and it could be an excellent filler before McIntyre’s challenger for Survivor Series emerges.
