It’s just now hitting the Derricos just how difficult 14 children is going to be. Karen is starting to feel overwhelmed. You could especially tell that at the birthday party they held for the Quints.

That was an event in itself, they explained just how much ilof a chore it was to actually plan events for their kids because when you have multiple swts of multiples and you have to go to a large place such as a bowling alley or skating rink then you have to make sure that such places have enough supplies for your brood or you have to end up going home, which is exactly what happened when they went to the skating rink previously. The place didn’t have enough pairs of skates!

Fortunately, this time at the bowling alley had enough shoes for all of the people in question. (Thank God because that would have sucked having to go home for your 6th birthday party.) However there was one extra person there on this occassion that needed some extra attention who was not one of the birthday quints, and that was little De’Aryn.

However, this time they had some help along for De’Aryn and that was Jessica, the kids’ kindergarten teacher. While Mama gave her undivided attention to the Quints for their birthday, Jessica kept an eye on little De’Aryn, who might I add is very well-behaved for a newborn.

Her friend, whom she was talking to previously about not sleeping at all, said that she actually does have a Nanny and its an immense help. She said at first it was hard to get used to the idea of someone else driving her children to and from their activities, but she got used to the idea once she realized that the help actually made her a better Mom.

The way I see it Karen is already a good Mom but being stretched so thin can be stressful for everyone involved, even the children. So I think Karen’s decision to at least consider the idea of letting a Nanny in to help is a a good idea. Next week they decide to get serious and actually start interviewing Nannies. Let’s hope they find some good help. Stay tuned!
