TLC ’90 Day FiancĂ©’ spoilers tease that Darcey and Stacey were all set to go to LA and re-launch House of Eleven, they had even packed everything and re-packed Stacey’s wedding dress amid much flurry, but then… COVID-19 decided to make them stay in Connecticut.
They were saying that they were just going to go out to LA for like a week, but fortunately their Dad, Mike, stepped in and reasoned with them. He said that he had just got to the United States from China in order to flee this exact kind of thing. I could see where he wanted to come back to the United States, if perchance he did contract COVID-19 I would feel safer in a US medical facility than one in China.
TLC ’90 Day FiancĂ©’ Spoilers: Quarantine begins
He told Darcye and Stacey that LA was done, that there would really be no use in going out there now that COVID was running rampant. He said that while he knew they didn’t have it, he didn’t want hem to potentially contract it by sitting next to someone on the plane or coming in contact with someone at the hotel that had it.
I am so glad that Mike was there to talk sense into them because I have a feeling that if he hadn’t been, these two would have run off to LA and tried to re-launch their brand in the middle of a pandemic.Which not only might have resulted in one or both of the twins (or God forbid, Darcey’s daughters) getting infected, but also would have been a social media disaster for House of Eleven.
Mike is smart. Right now, House of Eleven is a virtually unknown brand, that means that re-launching it can go either way. They can either have wild success and go straight to the top, or they can fail stupendously now with the advent of social media and all the influencers who would want to try their brand in order to advertise it.
Social media is not kind to new brands that put out sub-par products, just ask Jacklyn Hill. Remember when she tried to launch those lipsticks and got a whole bunch of backlash because only the good ones were sent out to influencers and the rest of the product, the products that people paid money for, were sub-pair and were crumbly and had bits of hair in them?
Yeah, she got raked across the coals for that. If you want a more recent example, you can take a look at Jeffree Star’s mini orgy pallette that ended up failing because it was pressed wrongly and many customers ended up with subpair products that wouldn’t even produce pigment.
Also right now, they would have trouble with the supply chain anyway, considering a lot of the fashion, beauty, and home items are manufactured overseas in China, even if the company is an American company.
The American Made label costs money and I’m not sure that Darcey and Stacey is up for that kind of cost right now. Even though, it’d be kind of cool if they did do that move, they might have to start extra small to get all of their product base American made, if they wanted to do that. However it sounded like they wanted to start with a bang. So I guess, thanks to COVID-19 we won’t be seeing House of Eleven things on the shelf just yet. Hopefully they can get their brand launched later though. Stay tuned!!!
