Tom MacDonald is famous for his social commentary in his songs, accusing America’s two-party system of being corrupt, tackling race issues, and even calling everyone buttholes. He is an independent rapper, and together with his girlfriend Nova Rockafeller, has amassed an enormous following and even beat Cardi B on the iTunes hip hop top 40 before making it onto the Billboard 100.

He attributes his success to staying independent and not letting a label mess with his vision or work. So far, it’s been working very well for him. In fact, many people find his commentary a breath of fresh air, and his none filter way of saying things has a lot of fans clamoring for more.

There, however, are always people who are going to dislike you and say terrible things in the comments. Tom MacDonald, also known for being somewhat of a comedian, released a new video today mocking all of his haters and going as far as making fun of himself. It’s a very self-aware music video and is appropriately titled ‘I’m Corny’.

Take a look at his music video below.

If this is your first time listening to MacDonald, I’d urge you to go back to his catalog and listen to some of his other famous songs, like “People so stupid”, “Whiteboy”, and “Buttholes”. His unique look at society mixed with self-awareness and humor makes it so almost anyone can find things they agree with.

What do you think? Did he make his point with this new song? Let us know in the comments below.
