Well, we made it three weeks! The NFL has announced that Sunday’s game between the Tennessee Titans and the Pittsburgh Steelers will be postponed after reportedly nine members of the Titans tested positive for coronavirus.

While Tennesee suspended all in-person activities, the NFL issued the statement confirming the news today. “The Steelers-Titans game, originally scheduled for Sunday at 1 p.m. ET, will be rescheduled to allow additional time for further daily COVID-19 testing and to ensure the health and safety of players, coaches and game day personnel,” the statement read. It’s also been reported that the team members were also ALL asymptomatic.

The NFL has considered postponing the game until just Monday or Tuesday but this will be based upon more test results.

This has been expected by fans and NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell alike. We knew at some point during the season we’d see some cases, however, for these young men’s age group and asymptomatic test results it’s unlikely that this will affect the overall season.

In the meantime, Goodell has asked teams to limit contact, especially when traveling. While they use the term “outbreak”, this doesn’t seem to be a cause for concern.

What do you think? Do you think this spells trouble for the NFL? Let us know in the comments below.
