Miley Cyrus is certainly making it no secret that she is feeling like a brand new woman now that she’s no longer in a relationship with her ex-beau, Aussie singer Cody Simpson. In fact, she is telling her close friends and family that she feels “free as a bird” now that he’s no longer in the constraints of a committed relationship with the chart topper. Being someone who never likes to hold back, Miley took to her Instagram account to talk about her new single status with her fans and followers. “Two halves can’t make a whole and we’re individually just working on ourselves to become the people that we wanna be, like everybody else at this age,” the 27-year-old singer said.

Miley added: “We are just deciding who we wanna be in our lives, what we wanna do… don’t make it some drama story if next week we’re hanging out, getting pizza. We’ve been friends for ten years and we’re going to continue to be friends, so just don’t make it something that it is not.”
While it’s unclear as to what led to their break up, some sources close to the pop star says that it’s because she’s certainly not ready to settle down right now. Instead, she wants to focus on her career, her new song that she is promoting this week, and living her life to the fullest, so to speak.
“She’s bi obviously and wants people to always be comfortable being whoever they are without making it a thing,” the insider said. As many fans can recall, Miley dated Kaitlynn Carter briefly after her divorce from Hollywood actor Liam Hemsworth last year.
