British Royal Family News says that Meghan Markle has every reason to worry about her son Archie. And that’s not just because the Sussexes are a paparazzi magnet in L.A. or that the global pandemic that has been the coronavirus is still very much a threat, but because of the family’s isolation.
The former Hollywood star is worried that her one-year-old son is not getting enough socialization with other kids his age, which is crucial for his development. Here’s what you need to know.
British Royal Family News: Meghan Markle Worried About Archie’s Future
According to the Daily Mail, one source close to the situation says that the Duchess of Sussex is worried about her one-year-old son and the lack of friends and socialization because of the global pandemic that has been the coronavirus.
Since late March, Meghan, Harry and their son Archie Harrison have been holed up at Tyler Perry’s multi-million dollar mansion in Beverly Hills. They have had very little contact with anyone outside of their personal bubble of friends and family, which includes Meghan’s mother, Doria Ragland.
One insider close to the situation told the publication, “Meghan said Archie needs to learn emotional and social skills by being around other young children, something he can’t do with adults. Meghan said ideally they (she and Archie) would be in a baby group class that met in person a couple of times a week. This would give Archie the opportunity to play with other toddlers and help develop his brain.”
However, Meghan believes that it would be almost impossible for her to join any parent support groups in the Los Angeles area, seeing how she is one of the most famous women in the world because of her marriage to Prince Harry.
The friend added: “Meghan said she would love to be part of a ‘Mommy and Me’ community, but knows this is impossible even if there was no COVID-19 because of who she is. She said she’s just too well known to do normal things.”
With that said, the insider did add that Harry and Meghan have been trying to keep up with their friends back in Toronto and London via video calling apps, but it just hasn’t been the same as seeing them face-to-face. The friend said: “Meghan does take advantage of connecting with others online and on Zoom, but says it’s just not the same as in person.”
