EastEnders spoilers have given a first insight into what fans could expect to see when the soap makes its long awaited return next month. And, there looks set to be immediate trouble between Max Branning and Ian Beale as a shock betrayal leaves Max devastated. But, does this mean that Ian’s secret is closer to coming out?
A teaser for the return of the soap was given on BBC 1’s Secrets From The Square earlier this week, and it points to there being a conflict between Max and Ian. In the trailer, Max can be seen berating Ian. He claims that he is ‘unbelievable’ before stating that it was his money and that Ian has used everything that he owns.
EastEnders Spoilers: What Has Ian Done?
Viewers were all asking themselves the same question after seeing the explosive scenes between the two characters, as they try and predict what Ian has done to provoke Max. However, it could be speculated that Ian has used the money that was given to him by Max after selling his stake in the Walford East. Soap fans will be aware that Max did this in a bid to ensure that Rainie didn’t get her hands on it during the divorce.
However, Ian made the decision in the final episodes of the soap that he would be going into business with Sharon Mitchell as he brought the Queen Vic. Fans have immediately predicted that Ian could have used the money that Max had to buy his share, which would leave Max understandably livid with Ian.
EastEnders Spoilers: What Happens Next?
Ian has been doing everything within his power to keep his involvement in Dennis Rickman’s death a secret. However, if Ian has defied Max’s trust, then it would seem only a matter of time before he tries to get revenge on Ian. It would be a new low for Ian to turn his back on his friend, but there will certainly be repercussions.
There will be pressure on Ian when the soap returns, as it would only seem a matter of time before his secret is out. There are a number of characters that are already looking to get pay back on Ian, including Dotty and Phil Mitchell. Making an enemy of Max could be the final straw for Ian.
