British Royal Family News says that while a lot of people might think that it’s Meghan Markle who is pulling all of the strings in her marriage with Prince Harry, that might not necessarily be true. In fact, it’s Prince Harry who is overly protective of his wife, according to a new book. That is one of the reasons why he severed his ties from the rest of the royal family. Here’s what you need to know.
According to Page Six, the new book, Finding Freedom: Harry, Meghan and the Making of a Modern Royal Family, details all of the drama that went on behind the scenes at Buckingham Palace. Apparently, when Prince Harry first introduced his then-girlfriend Meghan Markle to his family and royal staffers at Buckingham Palace back in 2016, he was keenly aware of everyone talking behind their back, which made him feel just as uncomfortable as Meghan at the time.

“He’s extremely protective of Meghan. He understands that a lot of people are against them, and he will do everything he can to keep her safe and away from getting hurt — even if that means distancing himself from those people,” a close friend of his told authors Omid Scobie and Carolyn Durand.
Prince Harry also didn’t appreciate his brother Prince William suggesting to him that he was blindsided by lust. He also reportedly told Harry that he was moving too fast in his relationship with Meghan, which didn’t go over very well with the Duke of Sussex.
“These brothers have spent their whole lives with people trying to take advantage of them,” the friend added. “They’ve both developed a radar to detect that type of person.” It then didn’t take very long for Harry to block his brother out of his life. Surprisingly, Prince William did the same.
“The distance came from both directions. Harry spent less time going over to see the children, but the invites from William and Kate were the first to dry up,” a source said. “Kate did little to bridge the divide. She was fiercely loyal to her husband and his family.”
