We got a glimpse into culture in this episode, as the two families gathered together. Cengiz Arısoy (Şencan Güleryüz), Selim’s father, asked Kaya Demiröz (Devrim Saltoglu), Cennet’s father, for permission to marry Cennet on Selim’s behalf. This is where it got a little fun.
Since the last time Kaya and Cengiz saw each other was when Kaya showed off those incriminating pictures, the two men were a bit awkward. Especially Cengiz. He seriously looked as though he’d rather be getting a root canal than be there. And Kaya didn’t help. He started talking about not being happy with this pairing, before cracking up and saying he’d been kidding. Plus, he made a couple of pointed comments hinting at Rıza Soyer’s (Ali İpin) death. But, eventually, Kaya gave his blessing and the happy couple has a big day to plan.

Or not. Remember when we mentioned Melisa Soyer (Zehra Yılmaz) tried to strangle Cennet, getting herself sent away to London? Cennet spoilers reveal her parents should have been watching a little closer. Melisa never took that flight to London, and she made a big stink about wanting to leave alone. Mahir Soyer (Hazım Körmükçü) and Arzu Soyer (Esra Ronabar) stupidly went along with this, and Cennet is poised to pay the price. First, Melisa nearly ran her over in the street. Only Kaya’s sharp eyes and quick action saved his daughter. With a failure like that, one might think Melisa would give up. Wrong.

Instead, Melisa went to some bar and got trashed. After, she set up an elaborate scheme to trick Cennet to a remote spot where she intends to light Cennet on fire. Again, luck is on her side. Well, given the previews show Melisa setting a fire, it will be close. And with Kaya already on his way to the location, we expect he’ll be enraged and try to kill Melisa. Plus, anyone who gets in his way.
As for the teasers, it looks like Melisa’s impulsive actions might put her at risk tonight and we’re not talking about Kaya. From the wording, it sounds like she’ll end up getting caught in her own trap. But it seems Cennet will show how noble her heart is, which leads us to believe she’ll do whatever she can to save Melisa.
