British Royal Family News says that Queen Elizabeth is not wasting her time while sheltering-in-place with her most trusted staff members at Windsor Castle. The Queen, along with the other senior member of the royal family, have been forced into isolation because of the global pandemic that is the coronavirus. And while many are staying indoors and waiting until the virus subsides before they begin their normal activities again, it’s business as usual for the Queen. Here’s what you need to know.
Queen Elizabeth has proven many times over and over again that for her, age is nothing but a number. She might be 94, but that hasn’t stopped her from doing what she loves the most during her quarantine lockdown. According to Vanity Fair, Queen Elizabeth is making the most of her time by going horseback riding everyday.
British Royal Family News: Queen Elizabeth Refuses To Slow Down
“One of the nicest things for the Queen is that she is getting to spend more time with her husband than she usually would,” a source tells the publication. “They have dinner together in the evenings and I imagine the Queen is of the generation where she dresses for dinner. She is riding out every day and is making the most of this time.”
What’s more, Katie Nicholl says that the Queen is eager to get back to work, just like the millions of people who have been forced to shelter-in-place because of the coronavirus pandemic. While some people have hinted that it might be many long months before anyone will get to see the leader of the British monarchy in public again, Nicholl says that won’t be the case at all. In fact, the Queen is very eager to get back to work sooner rather than later.
“The idea that she’ll reign from a screen is not Her Majesty’s view,” the source added. “There’s a keenness to get back to doing the sort of work she has always done. She very much believes in being seen.”
