CBS ‘The Young and the Restless’ (Y&R) spoilers has everyone asking: when are the cast and crew of Y&R going to start filming and better yet, why has everyone been so quiet about their production plans? Now that ‘Bold and the Beautiful’ has started filming again you would think that its sister soap ‘Young and the Restless’ would follow suite, but that hasn’t happened yet. In fact, it’s been so quiet that even the Y&R cast doesn’t know what’s going on. Here’s what you need to know.

With many B&B stars like Don Diamont (Bill Spencer) and Katherine Kelly Lang (Brooke Logan) celebrating the return of their beloved soap, you would think that ‘Young and the Restless’, NBC’s Days of Our Lives and ABC’s General Hospital would at least make a statement about what plans they have for the future. After all, many of the British primetime soaps like Eastenders, Emmerdale and Coronation Street have been very transparent about what safety protocols will be put in place as they begin filming new episodes again. But that hasn’t been the case with American soaps.

While ‘Young and the Restless’ producers have been keeping suspiciously quiet, many Y&R actors and actresses have taken to their social media accounts to express just how much they miss seeing their co-stars and working again. But one reputable source close to the set and behind the scenes tells Daily Soap Dish that there’s a lack of communication and unfortunately, no one knows when they will begin airing again. We will definitely update you with all of the latest details and information as it comes in.
