CBS ‘The Young and the Restless’ (Y&R) spoilers finds that it looks like things aren’t going to go as smoothly this time around for the marrying couple, but ‘Young and the Restless’ feel we were due for some excitement beyond the perfect wedding. Coming to us from October 24, 2006, they picked one of the perfect couples to do so. While Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) and Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) aren’t the worst individuals in Genoa City, Phyllis has done a good job of spreading misery like a good Disease. Still, this sucks for them. Guess this is the trick minus the treat?

There are several ways to get someone’s attention, and the best or often most used one is to make a huge scene. The thinking is, during a disturbance, everyone’s attention will be on the person doing the disturbing. Of course, if it’s someone looking to cause mayhem for mayhem’s sake, they don’t really care about the attention. Or maybe they do on some level? No matter what the interruption is, there’s a “show must go on” mentality when it comes to marrying someone, and Nick and Phyllis have that in spades.

CBS ‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers should know better than to expect anything to do with Phyllis to be easy. She may have her moments as a Disease, but she’s one tough lady and awesome character that always finds a way to get what she wants through whatever means necessary. This does make us wonder how she hasn’t been arrested and the key thrown away yet. She’s had to have pissed off some pretty powerful people at some point. Or maybe that’s upcoming when the show resumes production, whenever that may be?
Of course, her ties to some of the most powerful people has probably saved her a few times. Still, as much fun as it is to see her work, it’s better to see her have a happy moment with her friends and family, too. Still, she had a knack for eventually bringing the bad part of someone out after they’ve been around her for a while, so it’s only a matter of time before Nick and her are at odds and planning another marriage down the road.
