According to the Daily Mail, Joe Little, who is the editor of Majesty Magazine, says that even though they’ve previously spent a lot of time apart, Queen Elizabeth and Prince Philip are now closer together now than in recent years, thanks to the coronavirus pandemic. That’s because the two of them have been sheltering-in-place at Windsor Castle since March.

And while Prince Philip might not be the kind of person who is a “lovey-dovey husband,” he is a great comfort to the Queen. In fact, the two of them are getting along now more than ever before, as the Queen apparently appreciates not only his company but his naughty sense of humor behind the scenes, too.
Even though Queen Elizabeth is reportedly still hard at work behind the scenes at Windsor Castle, she’s been enjoying quiet evenings and quality time with her husband. Little puts it this way, “He is such an important ingredient in her success and happiness. He makes her laugh, he’s got a slightly naughty sense of humor, a sense of the ridiculous that keeps her amused. She will value that companionship much more than if he were at the other end of a telephone.”
Now, as far when Queen Elizabeth will be making her next public appearance remains to be seen. With the annual Trooping of the Colours set to take place at Windsor Castle this year, there’s a good chance that the public might get to see their first glimpse of the Queen in months.
