Recently, Tana Mongeau started an OnlyFans account due to the urging of several fans on twitter (actually, probably more than several, but you get what I mean, everybody knows how social media works) but a lot of people are now complaining about the content. Apparently her content is really nothing more than what she has on youtube with the exception of Tana being in various states of undress. I guess if it was just $5 like she advertises then it might be worth it for a certain, decidedly adult, subset of her fans but Tana’s first video on this website is $44!
The thing is, this does not help Tana’s already questionable image. She has been known for grand ideas that don’t turn out well for awhile. Starting a couple of years ago with TanaCon, a poorly planned creator event where lots of fans ended up basically dehydrated and standing in blazing heat for hours for an event that basically never happened. There was also her wedding to Jake Paul last year that was streamed on Halogen, again, a $40 pricepoint, that most fans asked for a refund of because the content therein simply was not worth it. Most recently, her perfume came out and a lot of people said that that was a scam as well because it was too expensive, again, it had a price point of $40. Then there was the most recent idea where she was trying to make a charity-type thing for people affected by COVID-19 but on the website, there was only a button for donations, not for one for people that actually needed help, for that you had to go for another website entirely and you could only get help if they had a chapter in your area.
Youtuber Tana Mongeau: Only scams?
You know, at first glance a couple of these things (especially the charity one) one can kind of let slide because she’s just 21 years old and let’s face it, no one has it figured out at 21 years old. However, now that she has this onlyfans account and it’s pretty clear that this is just her MO and that she’s not going to get tired of doing it anytime soon – does she just like to have her name associated with scams? Is it true that there is no such thing as bad publicity? I would roll my eyes really hard at that statement but the fact of the matter is, Tana doesn’t seem to really learn her lesson after any of these stunts and it just makes one wonder, does she want to be known as the youtuber that scammed the most people out of money? Let’s hope not. Stay tuned!
