If you are familiar with Tiktok you’ll probably know The Sway Boys, AKA Jaden Hossler and Bryce Hall. On May 20th, Bryce Hall announced on twitter that they would be doing a road trip, followed by a tweet on May 23rd that said “It’s time to break the internet again.” okay sis, go off, but I don’t think this is quite the way you meant it, but you know maybe we’re wrong. Maybe it was just an extended version of the mugshot challenge, although why you’d go to these lengths is beyond me. It looks like it was Jaden, Josh Richards, and Blake Gray, another hype house member, who attended this road trip with them, according to Bryce’s instagram. In this particular photo it also looks like Jaden is smoking… and not a marlboro light if you get my drift. Was it too good a drag to put down for the photo?
This must have been before they left for Texas and was still in LA, because in Los Angeles it is legal to toke up, however if you are between the ages of 18-20 you have to have a medical license for it, anything after 21 can be purchased as recreational, a bit like alcohol, but different. You cannot however be seen doing it in public. I’m not sure where the disconnect was between LA and Texas but things seemed to fall apart somewhere in Giddings, Texas. Someone on TikTok posted a series of what looked to be snapchat stories of them getting arrested. Apparently the cop escorted Bryce into the restaurant across the street to use the restroom and that is where the snapchat stories/tiktok video was pulled from.
How not to get arrested – Starring the Sway Boys
Apparently, they got caught speeding in a party bus which is just detrimental to all of the other citizens on the road. When they were pulled over, everyone was searched but Jaden and Bryce were the only ones who ended up getting booked. Bryce was only charged with possession of marijuana, a whole 2 ounces. Jaden however got booked on a charge of not only marijuana possession but a PG2 charge as well, which meant that he had a substance other than marijuana that was considered either a controlled or otherwise dangerous substance. PG stands for penalty group. Jaden was busted for having 400 grams of this substance. The punishment is 2-20 years in prison and up to a $10,000 fine.
Bryce has tweeted that he’s out, so far no news on whether he has a future court date or if this release is just on bail or what. As for Jaden, it looks like there’s now word yet but he was posting as recently as May 25th on twitter and the last time I checked, jail doesn’t allow you to have cell phones. If Jaden does end up doing time, maybe he’ll join the ranks of the entertaining storytimers who have done time before. We’ll just have to see, won’t we? Stay tuned!
