According to the Financial Times, some of Netflix’s shows have already started up production again in countries such as South Korea, Japan, and Iceland, where hand sanitizers, masks, and gloves have all become the new norm. What’s more, boxed lunches have replaced buffets and communal snacks and breaks are taken every few hours so the cast and crew can wash their hands and disinfect surfaces. In addition, make-up artists use single-use disposable applicants and the cast’s wardrobes are steam-cleaned every day.
With that said, none of the producers of ‘General Hospital’, ‘The Bold and the Beautiful’, ‘Days of Our Lives’ and ‘The Young and the Restless’ have made any comments about their post-quarantine plans or when production will resume. Of course, it all depends on the state of California and when the shelter-in-place orders will be lifted.
