Netflix The Stranger finds that there isn’t a lot else to do at present than to tuck into a binge-worthy box set on Netflix. One of the very best newcomers to the streaming service was released at the end of January, and is called ‘The Stranger’.
The thriller is based on the book with the same name written by Harlan Coben, and has many similarities to another Netflix smash-hit. Fans have already quickly spotted that if they loved ‘Safe’, then they would be immediately engaged in this new heart-stopper.

There is a string of A-listers involved in The Stranger, but perhaps none bigger than Jennifer Saunders, who plays Heidi Doyle. The main character is played by Richard Armitage, who portrays Adam Price. While, Siobhan Finneran plays the lead detective DS Johanna Griffin.
Shaun Dooley, Paul Kaye and Dervia Kirwan all co-star in this thrilling adaption. Hannah John-Kamen plays The Stranger, and puts in a career-best performance. She is just the right level of creepy and loveable, which ensures viewers are guessing until the end regarding whether she is actually a villain or not.
Netflix The Stranger: What Is The Stranger About?
The Stranger follows the life of Adam Price, as he is approached by The Stranger. He appears to have a perfect life from the outside but what The Stranger tells him sends his life in a tailspin. She admits that his wife hasn’t been truthful to him, and that she has been hiding something from him. The Stranger admits that he should know because then he could make up his own mind whether he wants to stay in a marriage based on lies.
The remainder of the season follows Adam as he comes to terms with the revelation before the thriller then turns into trying to track down his wife as she mysteriously disappears. Adam and DS Griffin grow closer as they work together to try and find his wife and whoever is responsible. The Stranger is full of twists and turns, and you will be guessing how it ends until the final second of episode eight.
