‘All My Children’ spoilers finds that when it comes to living in close quarters with your family, it can either be the best of times or the worst of times and for Kelly Ripa, she is certainly learning that the hard way. The television personality, who is best known for her role on the classic soap All My Children, recently admitted that two out of her three children are not speaking to her during her family’s quarantine from the coronavirus. And yes, Kelly is completely devastated over it. Here’s what she has to say.
While on a video call with Ryan Seacrest, Kelly couldn’t help but get a little personal. She said that the isolation at home has been tough on everyone and that unfortunately, there isn’t as much harmony between her and her children right now as she had hoped. The actress and her husband Mark Consuelos share three children together: Lola, 18, Michael, 22, and Joaquin, 17.
‘All My Children’ Spoilers: Kelly Ripa Admits Her Children Are Not Speaking To Her During Coronavirus (Covid-19) Quarantine
The former soap star said, “I’m not going to lie, okay? I’m going to let you in on a little secret: I’m currently not speaking to two of my three kids. I’m not talking to two of them. Just because, we’re all in the same boat together, right?… I haven’t gotten to hug my parents. I want to hug my parents. I miss hugging my parents. And my kids, like, won’t hug me. And I’m like, “Guys, we’ve all been in lockdown together. We’re fine. You can give me a hug. It’s fine.”… Anyway, I’m sorry. I don’t know why I’m crying. Maybe I’m just going to get my period, who knows… Sorry, sorry. Sometimes we forget that we’re on. Did I shout that, or did my inner monologue come out? Sorry, didn’t mean to do that.”
The New Jersey native also said that her father was supposed to have knee surgery and that her son Michael was supposed to graduate from college this month.
Kelly added, “I feel so bad for my son, Michael, who was supposed to graduate in a couple of weeks. And I really feel bad for my dad who delayed having knee surgery that he can’t obviously have now for so many myriad reasons. He was so looking forward to, you know, watching his grandson graduate from college… It was such a big talking point in our house. Again, these are small problems considering that so many people are losing their loved ones and [are] very, very sick. But … it is what it is, you know what I mean? Michael, by the way, is not bothered at all.”
