This is the case for one of the patients on TLC’s My Feet Are Killing Me. Heather goes to see Dr. Ebonie Vincent because of the intense pain she is in when she walks. This all began when she was four years old. She was in a terrible car accident and she has had many surgeries to try and repair the damage that was done. She is ready to finally get her feet fixed and she thinks that Dr. Ebonie is the right doctor for the job.

When Heather came to see Dr. Ebonie, she was very nervous, but she is at her wit’s end and is in so much pain. Heather told Dr. Ebonie about all of the surgeries that she has had and all about the pain that she feels constantly. She even told her that there are days that she just can’t deal with it and won’t move for hours. On one side of Heather’s foot, she cannot feel any pain. She doesn’t know when she has hurt herself or even if her foot is bleeding unless she is looking directly at it! Her foot is completely deformed and she has trouble finding shoes too.

Dr. Ebonie seemed very concerned about Heather’s pain and Heather even told her that she would like to wear heels in her lifetime. When Heather revealed her foot, Dr. Ebonie was shocked, but she told Heather she could help her. She told her that another surgery is needed and that will be that her bone has to be shaped again. The bone that is coming out of her foot is the reason for all of the pain and discomfort and Dr. Ebonie has to shape it in order for Heather to get any relief.
Heather was worried about having one more surgery, but Dr. Ebonie said that she knew she could fix it and make her foot work the way it should. Dr. Ebonie was able to complete the surgery with ease and just knew that this would help Heather’s life get better. It would take some time to heal and it was painful at first. Heather came back for a follow up about two weeks later and Dr. Ebonie have her some footgear to help her. Heather got a surprise gift of heels from Dr. Ebonie too! She was so happy and the show ended up being very emotional. We love watching Dr. Ebonie work her magic and you can catch her on TLC.
