British Royal News: William To Take On More Responsibilities!

British Royal News tease that Prince William could be forced to take on extra responsibilities over the coming months should the Queen or Prince Charles be forced to self-isolate. Both of the older royals fall under the age group that is most vulnerable to the Coronavirus, and William could be the royal that is forced to increase his workload.

The decision was made after it was revealed by the British government that they may force people over the age of 70 to self-isolate. Since both the Queen and Charles fall under that age bracket, there would be no possible chance that they would be able to attend engagements.

British Royal News: Charles Delays Tours!

The spread of the Coronavirus has also meant that Prince Charles was forced to council upcoming tours that he was scheduled to take part in. Last week he revealed that he has postponed trips to Jordan and the Republic of Cyprus. Meanwhile, the Queen has also been taking no chances.

She was pictured only last week wearing gloves while she handed out honours, while she didn’t shake anybody’s hands at an engagement over the weekend. The Palace also admitted that she wouldn’t be shaking hands with anyone at any upcoming events also.

British Royal News: Queen Ditches Traditional Greeting!

The UK government have yet to give a stance regarding shaking hands, but the Queen has opted against the greeting since the outbreak of the disease. There is little doubt that the Queen is doing the right thing, as she will be celebrating her 94th birthday in April.

The Palace also revealed that the older royals will be taking the advice from the government before deciding on the events that they will be attending over the coming weeks and months. However, it is believed that events that the Queen or Charles were due to attend, will not be attended by Prince William.
