Coronation Street Spoilers tease that Shona Platt has been absent from Coronation Street since being sent to Leeds to recover from a brain injury which was sustained on Christmas Day following the shooting from Derek Milligan. However, spoiler pictures have shown actress Julia Goulding back shooting scenes just three months after giving birth.
With Goulding back shooting scenes, her return back in Weatherfield is imminent. There is set to be a huge shock; however, as Shona will be seen visiting her son Clayton Hobbs in prison despite vowing to David that she never wanted to see him again.
Coronation Street Spoilers: Shock For David!
Shona told David that she never wanted to see her son again after he put them through hell last year. Shona was forced to stab Clayton after he had held her hostage following his escape from prison. Clayton had previously killed David’s ex-wife Kylie, which meant that he was never going to be forgiving of her son.
After that incident last year, Shona admitted that she will never see her son again, and will instead focus on David and his kids. However, following her brain injury, Clayton will once again manage to get involved in Shona’s life, as she will have no recollection of what took place between them.
Coronation Street Spoilers: What Does Clayton Want?
When David learns that Shona has reconnected with Clayton, he will be stunned. Shona has already banished him from being around her while she recovers, and this would be a further setback to their relationship. It isn’t clear yet what Clayton will say to his mother, but he will likely be after something in exchange.
Last time he visited Shona, it was so she would help him escape from prison. She ultimately turned him back into the police, but with no recollection from the past, could he once again ask her to do the same thing again?
