CBS ‘The Young And The Restless’ (Y&R) spoilers show that Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) found his replacement for Newman Enterprises. With Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) sidelined for at least a few months, he needed someone to fill in. It came down to just Adam Newman (Mark Grossman), as Abby Newman (Melissa Ordway) had her own thing going with the hotel and Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) was not interested in it. All arrows were pointing to Adam and he seems primed and ready to go.
However, at the last minute, Nick called Victor to accept the offer. This didn’t happen on his own though, as Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) had some words to say to Nick before he made his final decision. Adam can thank Phyllis for this. However, was Adam really ready to go and help the family? What if he was turning over a new leaf but this was the last straw with him?

CBS ‘The Young And The Restless’ Spoilers: Was Adam ‘That Person’? – What If Victor Did Choose Him?
Adam has been on his best behavior in recent memory. He even said a few nice words at the Newman Anniversary Gala, talking about how he wanted to connect with his father more, and his siblings. Victor even smiled and told him that that’d be nice. Could it be possible Adam was just wanting to prove himself and help the family? What if Victor did choose him and he proved everyone wrong by doing well and giving it back to Victoria once she returned?
I understand it’s not a very likely scenario, but possible nonetheless. I think it could have been interesting to see how Adam did running the company again and how he would have acted. I kind of think he was just wanting to prove himself to his father and gain trust with everyone. What do you think? Was Adam just trying to help his family or were his plans for sinister?
