It has been an eventful seven days in Walford, and this week’s episodes are highlighting the complete fallout from the special episodes that aired last week. One character that is feeling the strain more than most is Ian Beale. He was the guilty party in the death of Dennis Rickman in last week’s devastating closing scenes.

Ian left Dennis in the closet on the lower deck. He locked him in the room after learning about his part in the bullying of his son. But, Ian will be riddled with guilt this week as he struggles to come to terms with the fact that he was the man responsible for the death, and could be looking at prison time.

EastEnders Spoilers: Will Ian Be Able To Stay Calm?

Ian took action in last week’s boat party after learning that Dennis was behind the sick abuse that led to Bobby being attacked. The EastEnders legend only wanted to teach him a less, but it went too far as he was unable to save Dennis from drowning as the water began to build in the closet. Ian tried to resuscitate Dennis, but he was pronounced dead as soon as they got back onto shore.

This week viewers will see Ian struggling to come to terms with the death, as he is forced to lie to his good friend Sharon Mitchell surrounding how his death came around. Ian knows that any misstep from him could see him put in prison. But, there are other characters that also know that Ian had a motive.

EastEnders Spoilers: Could Somebody Unearth Ian’s Secret?

There are a number of characters that knew Ian was seething at Dennis for his part in the bullying of Bobby. Bex Fowler and Dotty Cotton both knew that Dennis was responsible. Dotty was in attendance when Ian went chasing after Dennis, but this week Ian will be left unsure on what to do.

He will be constantly applauded by the other people that were on the boat, as they a full of admiration for being brave. Ian will be close to coming clean about the whole situation, but will he be able to keep his mouth shut? Or will he tell the truth and admit his part in Dennis’ murder?
