However, he will be shocked again over the coming weeks when he finds out that Maria shared a passionate kiss with her ex. Gary and Dr Ali (James Burrows) have recently buried the hatchet after he looked after Maria in her time of need, but he will be back on the revenge trail when he learns the truth.

Maria and Ali used to date before she started going out with Gary. They split up after Ali ended it when his addiction to painkillers left him in free fall. However, they have been getting closer again after Ali has been looking after Maria. He was the one to take her to the hospital, and he stayed with her throughout.
Maria will seek Ali’s advice when she encounters difficulty with Gary. She will trust him and speak to him about their problems before the two share a romantic kiss. The kiss will come after Maria tells Ali that she fears Gary is once again up to his old tricks.

However, it would seem that Maria has gone the wrong end of the stick as she speaks to Gary about her concerns. He will tell her that she has nothing to worry about, and that she should speak to Ryan or Ike Rodgers about her doubts. She speaks to both of them, and they both support Gary’s story.
She is then overcome with guilt after kissing Ali, but will she tell Gary about her romantic moment? The consequences could be huge for Ali and Maria, with Gary seemingly a loose cannon that will be hell-bent on revenge. Viewers will have to continue watching to see how this plays out.
