Speaking to Soap Opera Digest in a new interview, ‘Young and the Restless’ writer Josh Griffith admits that things aren’t going to be very easy moving forward for Sharon and Rey. That’s because Rey will feel as though he is walking on eggshells to make sure that he gives Sharon all of the support and love that she needs without creating any more friction or stress between them.

Griffith tells the publication, “Sharon will show incredible strength in her fight against cancer. She will receive tremendous support from family and friends in unexpected ways. Rey will struggle to find a balance of providing Sharon with the support she needs without taking away her independence.”
With that said, it will be interesting to see how these two will keep their relationship intact while Sharon fights the biggest fight of her life. Viewers will have to keep in mind that things weren’t so great between them before Sharon’s cancer diagnosis and that they’ve always had their trust issues, too. Of course, ‘Young and the Restless’ fans will have to tune in to find out what will happen next.
