TLC ‘My 600 LB Life’ spoilers premiered this Monday. On this show, we have seen many people who are struggling with their weight. Some of them are trying to lose weight in order to be healthier, while others are trying to lose weight because they want to have surgery. No matter what, this TLC show focuses on their struggles and their life being obese. This season is no different.
TLC ‘My 600 LB Life’ Spoilers: Season Eight’s Premiere
On the new season of the TLC show, we met John, who is 35 years old, and Lonnie, who is 36 years old. These two brothers are trying their best to get healthier and this includes changing their diets and finding out their weight, which has been a secret to them for a while. This season started by showing them going to the doctor to get some idea of what needs to be done in order to get gastric bypass surgery.

The brothers are glad that they are doing this together. “This trip is one of hope for me and I’m glad we’re both doing it because I want both of us to get healthy so we can be part of each other’s lives for a long time”, Lonnie shared with the cameras. We saw Lonnie finding out his weight and it is 612.7 pounds. John weighed in at 686.5 pounds. The brothers were a bit shocked about their weight, but then shared some of their eating habits with the viewers.
“By the time I was 8, I was over 200 pounds and Lonnie wasn’t too far behind me. We both started to look at food even more for that happy and safe feeling after our mother got remarried. Our stepdad gave me all kinds of hell because I was always different”, Lonnie shared. “I basically decided to stay in the closet after that. Only my brother knew but I tried to hide my sexuality so I wouldn’t disappoint my mom. So eating is what got me through that time. It was the only thing I could control in my life and that made me happy and felt happy. So I just kept eating and getting bigger.”
It seems that when Lonnie came out to John, there was some distance in their relationship. They did grow apart for quite some time, but the brothers have come back together to be on the show. They are ready to help each other out to lose weight in order to live a healthier life. My 600-LB Life airs on TLC on Wednesday at 8 p.m. EST.
