‘The Young and the Restless’ (Y&R) comings and goings indicate that Lily Winters will soon be on the canvas again. In fact, it’s been confirmed that actress Christel Khalil will be returning to reprise her role as Lily beginning the week of January 6th. Here’s what you need to know.
Before the holiday season, Christel had made it pretty clear that her career on daytime television was pretty much over, seeing how her commute was making it too difficult for her to tape episodes on a regular basis. That’s because the actress lives full-time in Toronto with her family while ‘Young and the Restless’ is taped at the CBS studios in Los Angeles.
‘The Young and the Restless’ Comings And Goings: Lily Winter Is Back – But What About Cane?
What’s more, a lot of people can’t help but wonder what’s in store for Lily, seeing how her family is no longer a part of any prominent ‘Young and the Restless’ storylines. In fact, reports have even indicated that actor Daniel Goddard, who played Lily’s on-screen partner Cane Ashby, was let go from the soap simply because there was no future for his character. So with Lily coming back, why can’t Cane come back, too? That’s what a lot of fans can’t help but wonder.
So far Christel has made no comments about her return to daytime television or how long she will be on the show this time around. However, this hasn’t stopped fans from speculating and wondering if Daniel Goddard should be given a chance to return, too. Of course, The Young and the Restless fans will have to tune in to find out what happens next!
