Kim and Barry have nine children and they live on a 55-acre farm in South Georgia. The family doesn’t believe in having technology, television, or sodas! It is a lifestyle choice that they have chosen for their children, but what is their life really like in this South Georgia town?

The Plath family lives in a small town called Cairo, Georgia. The children are home schooled here and they also work on the farm doing chores that need to be done on a daily basis. Most of their time is spent going to school with their mother and learning to help the family farm. Barry and Kim want their children to know that they have a little slice of heaven on Earth here at their farm.
Welcome to Plathville is filmed in many locations during the six episode run. It is filmed on the family farm, in California, and at Ethan and his wife Olivia’s home. Ethan and Olivia have been married for a year and already, we have seen some drama stemming from this marriage.
Welcome to Plathville Spoilers: Olivia and the Family
We have seen some intense drama building up with Olivia and Kim. Olivia says that the Plath parents do not like or trust her and Olivia feels that the children are being sheltered. Kim thinks that Olivia is far too controlling of Ethan and now she is beginning to be controlling of her younger children. Moriah Plath ends up going on a trip to California with Olivia and things get a little crazy.
When in California, Moriah is exposed to the LGBTQ lifestyle and this is something that she has never seen, nor been a part of. Will this cause some unneeded drama between her and her family? Moriah gets exposed to a lot of things that her parents do not approve of and she will even eat some cotton candy! Is this the trip that Moriah needed to make her opinions of her family even greater?
