The Bold and the Beautiful Spoilers: How Many Times Will Thomas Forrester Cheat Death?

‘The Bold And The Beautiful’ (B&B) spoilers finds that we are pretty sure everyone is wondering, just like I am, how in the heck Thomas Forrester (Matthew Atkinson) is still walking around after his long dip in hydrofluoric acid. I myself am fascinated in true crime and treated this case just like I would any true crime case I would research, how on earth would a person come back from something like that? It doesn’t seem possible and from how they were phrasing things on the show it sounded like Thomas was as good as vaporized! Honestly, I haven’t heard of a ‘death’ that hardcore since ‘Game of Thrones’ and that’s saying something. Here’s what you need to know.

So, I did a little digging for the viewers at home and found these interesting little factoids. As it turns out while hydrofluoric acid is a very toxic and corrosive, it isn’t actually all that strong of an acid in comparison to its other, hydrohalic cousins in the acid family. I’m not a scientist so I’m not entirely sure what all that jargon means, I’m simply quoting a source that I found.

Even though Thomas did take a good dip it would have taken a lot longer than that to actually dissolve his body. A few days or a few weeks in comparison to what Thomas suffered, which was just a few minutes. I’m actually amazed that he didn’t come back full-on Phantom of the Opera.

Thomas confirmed, in his own words, that the acid had already been flushed from the vat by the time Hope Logan (Annika Noelle) accidentally pushed him in, instead what he had fallen into was, as he put it, ‘cleaning solution’. He said his skin was raw all over and he had to wash his eyes so many times which is to be expected, the cleaning solution which was to get rid of any traces of the hydrofluoric acid would have probably still been highly corrosive.

Which brings me to my next question – what kind of moisturizer is that, Thomas? One can only assume it’s a really high-end medical grade one because he looked really good for someone whose skin was supposedly raw all over!

Thing is though, I don’t think taking a dip did anything for his mental state. If anything it exacerbated it even more. Initially, it looked like he may have been sorry, or at the very least somewhat remorseful, for basically chasing Hope down in an attempt to do what I’m not sure. He now claims that he has given Hope and by extension little Douglas Forrester (Henry Joseph Samiri) the greatest gift. I think I speak for everyone when my jaw drops open and I exclaim – WHAT?!

He made poor Hope think that she had killed him in the most horrendous way possible. Stayed gone doing God only knows what for days on end while Hope panicked and fretted and thought she was about to go down for murder one and he has the nerve to call that a gift?! I am amazed Hope didn’t slap him! Hope’s really not one given to violence but hearing that it almost makes you wish that she was. Would that knock some sense into Thomas? Probably not, he’d probably just regard it as a love tap.

So, now that he’s come back and revealed himself to Hope, just where is this going? Who knows! Next week Brooke finds out and unfortunately for Thomas, unlike the other women in his life, Brooke will hit him! Will he get another slap heard round the world for Mama Bear Brooke Logan? Stay tuned!!
