‘Young and the Restless’ head writer Josh Griffith tells CBS Soaps in Depth, “Sharon and Jack feel more free to confide about their issues because they are so far from home and their issues. They are able to be candid because they aren’t distracted by the drama of their everyday lives.”
As many fans know, both Jack Abbott and Sharon Newman decided to get married basically so they could get revenge on their cheating spouses, Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) and Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford). But this time around it’s different.
They both have a heavy load that they have been carrying on their shoulders and they also need an outlet. Both Jack and Sharon trust each other and who knows, there might even be a little love between them left. But if anything, we do know that they share a mutual respect for one another.
Griffith further explains, “Jack Abbott and Sharon’s trip will prove to be rewarding for them both in more ways than one and also strengthen the close bond they share.”
