‘Young and the Restless’ (Y&R) spoilers indicate that star Eva LaRue (Celeste Rosales) is opening up about her experience in Genoa City. The actress says that while it has been nothing but wonderful so far, she did experience a heartbreaking loss right before she began her new gig.

Fortunately for her, working on the hit CBS soap helped her get through a very difficult time in her life. Her character Celeste appeared in Genoa City to see what was going on with her daughter Sasha (Lola Rosales) and her impending wedding to her fiancé, Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor).
Speaking to CBS Soaps in Depth, Eva said, “The morning after the soap called, my dad died. That was really tough, but ‘Young and the Restless’ gave me something else to focus on. It was the perfect distraction. It was just the thing I needed, with the excitement and happiness of tackling this role juxtaposed with the sadness.”
Thankfully, everything has gone as smooth as it possible could on the show. Being a daytime television vet herself, Eva felt like she was home again! Eva also said that it was nice to work and see so many familiar faces in and around the studios. She added, “Producers, writers, directors that I worked with [as Maria] on ALL MY CHILDREN. And so many actors! I ran into Thorsten Kaye (Ridge, THE BOLD & THE BEAUTIFUL; formerly AMC’s Zach). Joshua Morrow (Nick) and I just did a movie together about a year and a half ago. Michelle Stafford (Phyllis) and I have been friends forever. Peter Bergman (Jack) and I have been friends for 30 years, and we got to work together for the first time. I felt like I was enveloped in this warm hug!”
