El corazón nunca se equivoca spoilers relate that while one of the more popular shows on Univison, Mi Marido tiene más familia (My husband has more family), has an uncertain future, the world is still alive for fans, thanks to a new novela: El corazón nunca se equivoca (The heart’s never wrong). The show follows the popular Mi Marido pairing #ArisTemo (Aristóteles Córcega and Cuauhtémoc “Temo” López, played by Emilio Osorio and Joaquín Bondoni) as they move to Mexico city to follow their dreams. Here’s what you need to know.
El corazón nunca se equivoca spoilers: Familiar faces
This is a bit of a different show, as there are only going to be 26 episodes, as opposed to a normal novela’s 60-100+. Besides the aforementioned couple, we also have Amapola “Polita” Casteñeda (Aris’ mother, played by Gabriela Platas), Francisco “Pancho” López (Temo’s father, played by Arath de la Torre), and it’s said that Mexican film legend Sylvia Pinal will reprise her role as Imelda Sierra de Córcega crossing over. We also will see Daniela Córcega (Laura Vignatti) in the show. Finally, we have Diego Ortega (Nikolás Caballero), an old friend of Temo. He once had a thing for Temo and almost ended up with him while Aris was still struggling with his attraction to a man.
El corazón nunca se equivoca spoilers: New characters
We also have a bunch of new characters that populate this world. Roommates Aris, Temo, and Diego are joined by Carlota Cervantes (Ale Müller), a girl with a complex family life.
Sisters Dora and Nora Ortega (Helena Rojo and Nuria Bages) are the ones in charge of the building. Dora is, like others in the more conservative area, instantly distrustful of #ArisTemo when she learns they’re a couple. She also has issues with Polita’s relationship with a younger man (Eduardo, played by Santiago Zenteno). There’s also Ubaldo Ortega (Sergio Sendel) a politician that Temo is working with that has ties to Carlota’s brother’s (Andrés Cervantes, played by Bruno Santamaría) suicide, Carlota’s feuding parents (Elsa Reynoso and Olegario Cervantes, played by Leticia Calderón and Víctor González), and Mateo (Eduardo Barquin). He’s Temo’s competition for an official job with Ubaldo. There’s also Thiago (Sian Chiong), a famous singer who comes across Aris at the restaurant he’s working at.
El corazón nunca se equivoca spoilers: First impressions
We loved seeing these two characters in action again, and enjoyed seeing them each following their own path while trying to support each other in a society that’s not accepting of their lifestyle.
We love the contrast between Aris’ path to music stardom/influencer status and Temo’s dream of a political future. While Aris seems to be falling into luck (including befriending a famous singer), poor Temo is facing backlash over his sexuality, a fierce competitor, and a possible danger from his boss.
El corazón nunca se equivoca spoilers: Family ties
Another interesting aspect of the show is the contrast between #ArisTemo’s supportive and close family (even if Aris is a bit upset about mom moving there and going to his school) and the others.
Carlota’s family was torn apart by her brother’s sudden strange behavior and eventual suicide a couple of years prior to the events of this show. Her mother is a work-obsessed type that was hard on both children, while her father is now trying to reconcile the family.
Additionally, Diego is suffering from depression and not getting a lot of love at home. His mother, Soledad Elizalde (Laura Flores), isn’t strong-willed enough to stand up for him.
El corazón nunca se equivoca spoilers: The struggle is real
Another cool aspect of the show is the journey of Poilta, who is trying to find herself again after the end of a marriage that left her with no real skills besides homemaking or control over her own life. She’s now started over in Mexico City with a new boyfriend, but is having trouble getting work because of her lack of experience in the workplace, not to mention her age. She’s also got to deal with the snobbery of Dora, who is just looking for a reason to get rid of them all. We loved when Dora snarks that if she wants to learn something from a person like Polita, she’ll go to the market, and Polita responds that it would be a good place to buy a heart.

El corazón nunca se equivoca spoilers: Mysterious twist
The most intriguing aspect of the show so far is the mystery surrounding Carlota’s brother’s death. He’d supposedly committed suicide, which brought some judgment on the family and him this week, but Carlota is convinced that Ubaldo had something to do with this situation. He’d started acting strangely toward the end, Carlota is determined to figure out why. We’ll be seeing more bits of that through the flashbacks scattered throughout the first week.
This leads to a bit of a conflict for the main pairing, as well. Carlotta eventually confessed what had happened with her brother and her suspicions about Ubaldo to Aris, but she begged him not to tell Temo. When Temo overhears something, she pretends it’s just about the fact she’s in a relationship with Diego’s father and doesn’t want him to know. We’re sure this isn’t going to sit well with Temo once he learns the truth.
