‘El Corazón Nunca Se Equivoca’ (The Heart’s Never Wrong) spoilers for week 2 brings shocking loss, some more work drama for Cuauhtémoc “Temo” López (Joaquín Bondoni), and leads to Carlota Cervantes (Ale Müller) getting busted. There’s also a shocking loss of a character from Mi Marido Tiene Más Familia (My Husband Has More Family). If you missed it, let’s catch up on a few highlights with an El Corazón Nunca Se Equivoca recap.
‘El Corazón Nunca Se Equivoca’ spoilers: It’s war
Temo is once again facing some work drama. After an emergency with the campaign, he’s denied the chance to go home and help Aristóteles Córcega (Emilio Osorio) with something. He also is forced to work with Mateo (Eduardo Barquin) on a project to help with rehabbing their candidate’s image in the aftermath of a shocking video that’s released (more on that later).
While they work, Mateo confronts Temo about the video he made with Aris. He says that relationships should be private and when you do things like this, you turn it into something for people’s approval and likes. Temo finally decides to put his cards on the table, which leads to him asking if Mateo wants a war. Mateo says they’re already at war.
‘El Corazón Nunca Se Equivoca’ spoilers: Missing
While Temo is having problems at work, Aris is finding that celebrity comes with some unexpected issues. He and his little brother (Arquímedes) are at a market and the little one wants a toy bad. Aris says no, but soon is distracted by a bunch of fans who saw the video he and Temo made answering questions about their relationship. They love him and his channel and want to take pictures with him.
In the confusion, Arqui walks off and gets lost, leading to a huge panic back at home. Amapola “Polita” Casteñeda (Gabriela Platas) is devastated by her son being lost and a bit shaky. She’s not allowed to leave to search, but Aris is on top of things. He’s already got appeals all over social media and has reached out to Temo, who manages to get his boss (Ubaldo Ortega, played by Sergio Sendel) involved in the search as well.
Luckily for everyone, the little one is found safe and sound, and Aris apologizes for not paying enough attention. Polita counters that Arqui should also not have wandered off. He’d already been warned about that. Now both brothers are sorry, and they promise to do better.
‘El Corazón Nunca Se Equivoca’ spoilers: Working it out
Meanwhile, Carlota’s parents (Olegario Cervantes and Elsa Reynoso, played by Víctor González and Leticia Calderón) are going to therapy this week to work out a lot of the issues they’ve had. This really got bad after their son’s suicide. They argue about their differences before admitting their differences were what attracted them to each other.
Later, Olegario’s accused of uploading a doctored video of Ubaldo that has the candidate going on about how easily controlled people are, how he doesn’t care about the city, and family is only an illusion. Olegario claims he is innocent and begs Elsa to go back to work with Ublado after she quits the campaign. She had objected to him ignoring her advice during this crisis. Oelgario wants her to go back so he can learn about what’s going on with the campaign.
‘El Corazón Nunca Se Equivoca’ spoilers: Dirty politics
There’s a lot of dirty politics going on this week. We’re pretty sure that Isnario (Roger Cudney) and Mateo were both behind that video, as Mateo says that sometimes complete destruction is needed to bring order. Makes sense, as it definitely puts Ubaldo in a situation where he looks like a potential victim.
Besides that, he apparently is plotting to keep Aris away from Temo, with Mateo’s help. They talk about keeping Temo working as much as possible, leaving no time for he and Aris to spend together. This will help create doubt. Hmm. Sounds like this Ubaldo’s got an M.O. here, as Andrés Cervantes (Bruno Santamaría) was being distant as well before he died.
Speaking of, Carlota, she’d vowed this week while visiting the sight of her brother’s death to get to the bottom of it. To that end, she’s been keeping up a relationship with our shady politician. Unfortunately, Isnario’s been doing some digging of his own and discovered evidence that Carlota may be betraying Ubaldo. Ulbado confronts her with the accusation.
‘El Corazón Nunca Se Equivoca’ spoilers: Silent treatment
Nora Ortega (Nuria Bages) is furious this week at her sister, Dora Ortega (Helena Rojo). Nora had been looking at a postcard. While we couldn’t tell exactly what it was, judging by Dora’s reaction and going on about sins and how things need to be cleansed by fire, we’re guessing it is a letter from some forbidden love.
She snatches the card from Nora and carries it out of the room. As Nora begs and pleads for the momento back, Dora burns it and devastates her sister. She ends up giving Nora the silent treatment until a tragedy hits their building.
‘El Corazón Nunca Se Equivoca’ spoilers: Farewell
With the missing child situation handled and everything settled down again, Polita, Eduardo (Santiago Zenteno), Aris, Temo, and Arqui are planning to go for a family outing, complete with food. Polita realizes that she forgot something inside and rushes back in to retrieve it. While she’s in the kitchen, we suddenly see two Politas standing there, one looking shocked as the other falls to the floor.
Wondering what’s taking so long, Aris goes in to check on her and is horrified to find mom on the floor. Temo soon follows and rushes for help while Aris begs Polita to wake. Unfortunately, she had a cerebral hemorrhage and there is no salvation for this character.
‘El Corazón Nunca Se Equivoca’ spoilers: The battle begins
Following Polita’s death, Aris has a sense of responsibility for his younger brother. He thinks that he and Temo should adopt the child and take care of them. They’d already been caring for him, as the action had jumped in time several weeks since Polita died.
Aris’ father, Audifaz Córcega (René Casados) who is in Mexico City after learning the news, thinks that Aris is too young. Audifaz knows he’s made a lot of mistakes (including refusing to accept his son after leaning Aris is gay and not exactly being the best husband. He’d even joined forces with his mother, Doña Imelda Córgeca—Sylvia Pinal—to take the youngest of their children away). He also knows he is not the best to care for the child either, and thinks that letting Eduardo adopt him is better.
Aris objects to being separated from his little brother, but Audifaz assures him that won’t happen.
