EastEnders spoilers indicate that Mick Carter (Danny Dyer) is returning home to Walford, but he’s not about to get the kind of homecoming that you would normally expect. Mick hasn’t been seen on Eastenders since last February. Here’s what you need to know.
Eastenders Spoilers: Mick Carter Returns Home To Drama-Filled Homecoming
The last time fans saw Mick Carter in action, he was preparing to travel to Australia with his wife Linda Carter. The couple were getting ready to see their daughter Nancy marry her long-time love Tamwar Masoon Down Under. While Linda decided to return home after the wedding, Mick wanted to stay back in Australia to spend more time with his daughter and hew new husband. Of course, Eastenders writers did this in order to give actor Danny Dyer time off so he could appear on stage in the Harold Pinter play, The Dumb Waiter.
But now that Mick Carter is returning home, there are some new twists and turns ahead. Mick’s return will introduce a new storyline that will include a bus driver by the name of Terry. Played by actor Lee McDonald, he is going to clash with Mick as they both try to win concert tickets to see the Spice Girls in London.
The legendary actor told Britain’s The Sun in a new interview, “I am absolutely chuffed to bits and so excited to be briefly joining the case of EastEnders. I can’t say too much yet – but watch this space! Top banana!”
If Lee McDonald looks familiar, that’s because the actor was once best known for his role as Zammo in Grange Hill back in the 1980’s. He also had minor roles in television series such as Birds of a Feather, The Bill and a televised version of the Shakespeare play, A Midsummer Night’s Dream.
