‘Young and the Restless’ spoilers indicate that many fans have been left disappointed over the recent tribute the show did to honor the late actor, Kristoff St. John. Kristoff played his character Neil Winter since 1991 but unfortunately passed away in his home during the early hours of Monday, February 4th. The cause for his death is still unknown.
‘Young and the Restless’ Spoilers: Fans Unhappy With Kristoff St. John Tribute Special
Apparently, fans were hoping to see more of Kristoff during a special tribute episode that aired last week but unfortunately, they were left pretty dissatisfied with the effort that the show’s producers had put in.
During the end of the tribute, there was a short clip of Kristoff talking about the significance of the long-running CBS soap. “It feels like a real accomplishment,” St. John said. “I’ve been a part of something that will somehow be in a time capsule… and I’m part of that? Yeah, I’m one of the brothas on ‘The Young and the Restless,’ I’m one of the sons. I’m one of the family members. I was there. Yeah, man, Neil Winters was an integral part.”

The tribute also ended with just a photo of the actor and text that read “In loving memory of our dear friend.” Plenty of angry fans took to their Twitter accounts to express just how disappointed they felt over the supposed tribute. One person wrote, “I thought this was a #KristoffStJohn tribute episode… Or did I miss it….”
Another person said, “Wait. After 20 years that’s all the tribute CBS could muster up? That’s (sic) was just as sad as his death. RIP Kristoff St. John”
And then there was this: “Not impressed at all. They didn’t even have him in the opening montage! Hopefully they’ll give him a proper memorial on the show!”

So far producers of The Young and the Restless have made no comments about the criticism, nor have they made any announcements about a special Kristoff Jt. John episode in the works.
