The Young and the Restless Recap: Mia Has A Surprise For Rey
At Jabot, Phyllis (Gina Tognoni) assures everyone that it’s business as usual, although no one is buying it. Billy (Jason Thompson) expresses his frustrations and believes that Phyllis’ involvement in JT’s murder case will bring the company down. Kyle (Michael Mealor) agrees. Phyllis warns Billy that he needs to stop personally attacking her. Billy tells her that he’s not playing her games and decides to work from home.

Abby (Melissa Ordway) finds comfort in knowing that Jack (Peter Bergman) has her back. Seeing how there’s a good possibility that her mother Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott) might be spending her future behind bars, Jack reassures Abby that he will help with her wedding.
Over at Rey’s (Jordi Vilasuso) apartment, Mia (Noemi Gonzalez) tries to make her case. She tells him that the attack was meant for Abby, not Lola (Sasha Calle), who is now in the hospital fighting for her life. Rey doesn’t waste any time in slapping handcuffs on her wrists. May tells him she’s pregnant. Rey is left stunned with the news.
At Crimson Lights, Abby gives Kyle the sad news that there’s no change with Lola. Kyle is feeling helpless and is desperate to see her in the hospital. Abby tries to convince Arturo (Jason Canela) to let Kyle in, but he refuses. He states that he needs to protect his sister. Kyle comes in and makes his case and asks Arturo what he would do if Abby were in Lola’s situation. Arturo hits back that he would never treat Abby the way that Kyle has treated Lola. If that weren’t enough, he takes things a step further by challenging him to a fight. Kyle backs off.
Phyllis arrives home to find a furious Nick (Joshua Morrow) waiting for her. She tells him that she was left shocked over the charges just like everyone else. The brunette beauty insists that she tried to defend Nikki by telling the district attorney that JT Hellstrom (Thad Luckinbill) was killed out of self defense. Nick shouts that the only person who Phyllis cares about is herself. Nick is furious with Phyllis for not only betraying him, but his entire family. He then dumps her in dramatic fashion by telling her that she needs to leave his house once and for all.
