    The ‘Young and the Restless’ spoilers hint that Traci Abbott (Beth Maitland) could have a bigger role as the Abbotts are faced with questions of morality.

    The ‘Young and the Restless’ Spoilers – Traci Abbott, The Rock and Glue

    The ‘Young and the Restless’ spoilers indicate that Traci Abbott, the rock and glue of the family, could have a bigger role in the future. The actress who plays Traci, Beth Maitland, was recently interviewed by TV Insider about her role. She had this to say about her and the Abbotts’ future:

    “Everyone can speculate on that. The fact is, this story has changed every expectation and created those questions. We have to harken back to what makes them Abbots. Whether they’re “blood” Abbotts or not, they have at their core the foundation that John laid for them. His feeling was, “We are family first.” I think Traci is very hopeful that, maybe not today, but [eventually] everybody will be reminded of what’s truly important. If we don’t love each other we have absolutely nothing left. There will be no company, no prosperity, and no happiness. What will be investigated in the future is how everyone decides to deal with that fact.”

    It’s a going back to our roots speech of sorts by the matriarch of the Abbott family. Could it be a herald of things to come in the Abbott clan? It sure sounds like it! One thing we can say is that we are crossing our fingers and praying Traci has a more permanent role on the show. It seems like morality and logic is somewhat a-lacking these days in Genoa City, and we know that Traci means business.

    “Fantastic! [Laughs] And too short! What I mean by that is that I don’t think Traci aspired to run the company, but she’s got the grit to do it. She is a businesswoman, traveling the world, selling her books so, yes, she is a businesswoman in her own way. What she brings to the business is the moral center that John Abbott (Jerry Douglas) had. He did business above board, transparently, and faced the market with ethics and principals.” She then continues: “Had Traci continued at Jabot, she would have made mistakes, but she is also a good manager of her family. She knows who to ask. She knows who has better skills. She has a way of even facing off with Victor Newman (Eric Braeden)! She has something that people can’t crack when faced with morality, ethics, and what’s right. It’s really, really hard to cut somebody off at the knees when they’re looking you in the eye and they’ve got your daughter’s heart!”

    Winner . Traci Abbott (Beth Maitland) is also the matriarch of the family now. Since another Abbott is in very poor conditions, Dina Abbott (Marla Adams), cannot take over anything in the family due to her health. Therefore, that leaves Traci to handle all Abbott affairs in Genoa City.

    For those fans of Y&R which are not familiar with the family dynamics of the Abbotts, it’s quite simple to learn. Traci Abbott has been living behind Jack (Peter Bergman), who is her brother. Don’t forget about her sister, Ashley, who is also helping to run the show. When Traci finds witnesses, what is happening over at Jabot, Traci decides she cannot just watch in silence.

    Traci knows that she has rights too as an Abbott and plans on seeking out and taking what is hers and take it. Once Traci Abbott gets up the courage and backbone to take what is hers, she’s going to have to fight tooth and nail to keep it! Fans would love for her story to be developed and for her to come back for a permanent role. Why not, Ashley (Eileen Davidson), is gone, so let another Abbott take the reins.

    ‘Y&R’ Spoilers – Beth Maitland (Traci Abbott) Dishes On Eileen Davidson

    ‘Y&R’ spoilers indicate that Eileen Davidson recently exited the hit CBS show to the chagrin of her many loyal fans. This is what Maitland had to say about her “TV sister”:

    “I cannot disagree. That’s what is so complicated about this tremendous story that’s really compelling. Nobody saw that coming. In some cases, when a character does something way away from what is historically expected, it can take you out of the moment. This is the opposite of that, in my opinion. Ashley has been driven to the brink and to make a decision that, she feels, is completely justified. She’s been so emotional in her decisions, but she may not understand the widespread ripple effect she’s having on the people she loves. For this to happen to this golden family that’s always come together has raised the stakes and the pain threshold. Now, we have no one willing to sacrifice.”
