Jamie Lynn Spears has once again responded to Britney Spears’ claims that she was not helpful with regards to her conservatorship troubles.
Jamie Lynn Spears Admits She Has Received ‘Death Threats’ Following Britney Spears’ Comments About Her
Just recently, Britney had made accusations in which she claimed that Jamie’s memoir was simply a publicity stunt in order to garner attention in the hope that more books would sell.
This was based on the grounds that Jamie had revealed that Britney was involved in an altercation with her, which resulted in Jamie’s daughter having to mediate.
And it looks as though this back-and-forth has resulted in some very unpleasant consequences indeed. So much so that Jamie feels that her life could be under threat by overzealous fans.
In a post to her fans on Instagram, Jamie said: “Quite frankly, the things being said are absolutely not the truth, and I have to clarify that, because now it’s getting harder for me to rationalize to my oldest daughter why our family continues to get death threats.”
Moving on from the issue of death threats, Jamie also wanted to set the record straight to deny the claim that she was simply selling her memoir for money.
One way in which she countered this accusation was to focus on the fact that the book attempted to speak about Jamie’s side of the story. In this way, regardless of the troubles that Britney went through, those were not at the top of her list of priorities.
She added: “I hate to burst my sister’s bubble, but my book is not about her. I can’t help that I was born a Spears too, and that some of my experiences involve my sister.”
And by speaking out this way, Jamie is looking to move forward in her life. That would have the consequence of the two sisters not reconciling and ultimately going their separate ways.
If that does lead to peace and harmony in the Spears’ family, that should be viewed as a positive even if it is not ideal. It is safe to say that Britney and her sister will not be speaking to each other anytime soon.
