‘Young and the Restless’ (Y&R) spoilers tease that Michelle Stafford (Phyllis Summers) is back into the swing of things in Genoa City. So far a lot of people have been raving about her and are pretty excited to see what’s in store for Phyllis. Michelle, who recently made the switch from General Hospital, teases that things are going to escalate for Phyllis, but at the same time, she will finally be able to take back control of some aspects of her life. Here’s what she has to say.
Young and the Restless Spoilers: Michelle Stafford Says Things Are About To Escalate In Big Way For Phyllis Summers!
Just recently Michelle took over for actress Gina Tognoni, who left The Young and the Restless on mysterious terms. Michelle previously played Phyllis Summers before Gina clinched the role in 2014. And while there are a lot of people that are super excited about seeing Michelle as Phyllis again, it wasn’t easy for her to just dive back into the role. After all, she hasn’t been Phyllis Summers in nearly five years. Plus, Michelle points out that being Nina Reeves on General Hospital is totally different than being Phyllis Summers on The Young and the Restless simply because the two characters are so different.

Michelle said, “Some would think it would be really easy, but I knew it would be difficult because I’d been playing another role that was so opposite of Phyllis. Honestly, I spent a really long time reading and researching everything that had happened to the character; watching every show I could, while I was away.”
Michelle said, “Phyllis is really controlling her life again, and possibly the town. I’m just going to leave it at that.” The actress also touched on being a single mom in real life and stated, “That’s work. This is fun.”
