British Royal Family News suggests that fans are none too pleased over the suggestion that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle might charge Princess Eugenie rent for their Frogmore Cottage.
As many fans know, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex have lent their UK home to Princess Eugenie and her husband Jack Brooksbank as they await the birth of their first child in the coming months.
Harry and Meghan, meanwhile, are in Los Angeles with no immediately plans to return to the UK anytime soon. Here’s what you need to know.
British Royal Family News: Will Princess Eugenie Pay Prince Harry And Meghan Markle Rent For Frogmore Cottage?
While the terms of their agreement have not been made public, there’s some speculation that Harry might expect Eugenie and Jack to pay rant during their stay at Frogmore Cottage. Yet, many Brits believe that would be totally wrong, as the Duke of Sussex doesn’t technically own the place.
According to Express.co.uk, readers were asked if Meghan and Harry should ask Eugenie to pay rent during her Frogmore stay. Out of the 2,450 people who voted, a staggering 1,659 voters (69 percent) said no but 698 people (27 percent) did think that Eugenie should pay up.
Of course, many people also shared their comments, thoughts and opinions on the situation by saying, “They should just pay the rent money to charity,” along with, “Frogmore Cottage is already owned by the Crown Estate and isn’t for sale. This building should now return to the Queen.”
Needless to say, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have not made any comments about the matter, nor have they said when they plan to return to the UK. Princess Eugenie, meanwhile, is expected to give birth sometime in the beginning of 2021.
