She has also been speaking out about her past and being part of a relationship with domestic violence. Some fans love her, while others can’t stand looking at her. Deavan spoke out on April 3 about her ex-boyfriend and the abuse that she went through with him. The video was to share her experiences and help other women out who may be in an abusive relationship. Instead, her mother has been slammed on social media about it.
TLC ’90 Day Fiance’ Spoilers: Deavan Clegg’s Mother Is Getting Slammed On Social Media
She wrote, “Hey, everyone. I posted a video yesterday about my abuse story. And people are attacking my mom. My mom didn’t know the level of abuse until I left. And she did everything in her power to try and get me to leave my abuser. So please stop messaging her and sending her hate. Bullying is not the answer. It makes you not better than the abuser. So let’s only send love.”
In the video that Deavan posted, she described her abuser as a man who seemed genuine at first and she never saw any red flags, until it was too late. She later got pregnant with her daughter and that was the sign for her to leave her abuser for good. After battling with the decisions that she could make, she decided that she wanted to keep her baby and she would leave him forever. She had to get a restraining order at one point and had to deal with him slamming her on social media. Now Deavan is free of her ex-boyfriend and has a beautiful family. She is living in South Korea with her husband and children. They have been quarantined for weeks now, so she has had a lot of time to reflect on things. Deavan has also gotten some hate on social media for her strong feelings on how dirty Americans really are, but later apologized for her words and actions.
